How my journey of content writing started?
I was born and brought up in the “doctor” family. My father and brother are doctors. But I always stayed away from this field. The reason being – I never wanted to study so hard as they did! I never wanted to miss the memorable moments of my family. I know it sounds selfish but that was my whole motto. So, I decided to pursue Commerce. But my parents suggested to me to pursue Arts if I want to carve an offbeat career. That’s how I got admitted to Fergusson College and started pursuing a Bachelor in Arts.
Simultaneously I got enrolled in Nrityavedh which was started by Madhuri Apte. I also started trying my luck with acting. I did a very small role wherein I played a journalist in a Marathi serial called Avantika. I acted in a Marathi movie called – Sant Gora Kumbhar by Sumeet Music. Also, I acted in a Marathi play called – Sare Kahi Baikosathi. However, while doing all this, I did not wish to ignore my studies, which is why I bid adieu to this field. I started concentrating on my career when I was getting some lucrative offers from Mumbai. And that’s how my life moved on to Masters in Computer Management (MCM).
After my Bachelor’s I was wanted to opt for Masters in Mass Communication but that never happened. Thanks to my results that were out very late and the admission date had passed. I unwillingly but completed my MCM and the job hunt kickstarted. The recession was a major concern thus hampering job openings. I then opted for a certification course in Oracle after which I joined Synechron. But I knew what my true calling was and simultaneously I applied for a course – Diploma in Journalism at Ranade Institute, Pune University.
After the course, I started my journalism career with Pune Mirror and there was no looking back! Whatever I have learned is because of the amazing team of seniors who helped me sail through all peril times. Further, these amazing seniors and I came together to start a content agency called – Vedh Content & Communication. This much-needed opportunity was filled with amazing learning experiences. I was introduced to the world of content writing with this opportunity!
However, this journey witnessed a break. An uncalled health condition forced me to take a sabbatical. After which I started working as a freelance content writer. The career-transition, when I finally know what my calling is!
I have been in the field of content writing for the last six years and it is no less than a roller coaster ride. I love to dream, chase my dreams, and eventually achieve them! My life has gone through various phases of evolution – be it good or bad but it has taught me some important lessons in life. Thus, with this blog, I would like to pen down the experiences that made me strong with each passing day.
I am not preachy but I promise I won’t be boring too!
